There are several colleges in India which offer a PhD programs. However, interested candidates must be more careful while choosing a college for their doctorate than they are while choosing a college for bachelors program. Since PhD is all about research, the institution needs to have the required facilities and equipment to enable research scholars to explore their subject. Students can join PhD usually after masters program. However, in some colleges, a 5 year integrated PhD course is available for students who pass bachelors program. Most of the IITs offer this integrated course.
